Biography

"I've always had a love affair with Greece," says British-born Susie Tasios. "The landscape, music and literature was very regenerative for me, and I travelled throughout the country before finally moving here."
Tasios, who was the Corelli production's link to the Greek government, military and various official agencies, studied at the Central School of Speech & Drama in London. She worked in varying capacities on student productions before joining on with the BBC as a researcher for children's fare. For nine years she worked on The World Around Us and other series, eventually directing some of the shows.
She left the BBC to live in Ithaca and Corfu where she was the only foreign woman in residence. For awhile she ran an English language newspaper but she really wanted to be involved with film production, and she wanted to have a family. Eventually, she moved to Athens where she married and had two children. She now produces a wide range of commercials and documentaries shot in Greece.
