John Bloomfield - Details

Biography

John Bloomfield was the costume designer on Mummy, The (1999). His inspirations for this film, ranged from ancient wall paintings to 20th Centuryfasion photographs. His other recent films include Postman, The (1997), Waterworld (1995) and the Bounty.

His many awards and honors include a BAFTA nomination for Best Costume Design for his work on Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves (1991).

Bloomfield has worked extensively for BBC television and designed costumes for the acclaimed series Wives of Henry VIII, which also brought him a BAFTA Award. He has designed for the English National Opera, the Welsh Drama Company and the Hong Kong Festival and others.
Bloomfield has been nominated for honors by the Academy of Science Fiction and the Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences.
