I've been a gigantosaur of a fan of these films way back to when Steven Spielberg made the film epic movie. Since then they have adapted and evolved to become the triceratops of the movie charts!
Jurassic Park films have been big money makers. And Dominion - the conclusion to the epic franchise is no different having generated over $950 million in global ticket sales as well as topping the box-office charts in 72 markets around the world.
The closing movie of this new trilogy is directed by Colin Trevorrow and executive-produced by Steven Spielberg. It takes place four years after Isla Nublar’s destruction when dinosaurs roam the Earth again.
To bring it all to a close, and to rightly honour and appreciate the original cast, the two generations of Jurassic heroes unite.
Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) and Alan Grant (Sam Neill) return to join Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) for an incredible adventure that will determine the destiny of humans and dinosaurs once and for all as dinosaurs are living among people, but being exploited on farms and underground fighting rings.
I really like that they have done this. It pays homage to the original cast and puts them on screen one last time. In all honesty I think the new breed of movies with Pine and Dallas Howard have been fantastic, but my heart lies with the original movies and original cast so it really is great to see them featuring in this movie and having their legacy in the franchise rightly honoured.
The bonus features are nothing less than gigantic dinosaur sized and packed full of dinosaur facts and movie knowledge about this amazing film.
What's more, watching this release in 4k really makes it an amazing viewing experience. Colours pop brightly off the screen, the blacks are deep and rich and the dinosaurs (and people) look incredible in ultra high definition.
The home release also includes 14 extra minutes of footage, plus an alternative opening, offering fans a different take on the film they saw at the cinema.
