The production team includes costume designer Magali Guidasci, whose films include the blockbuster Armageddon, Luc Besson's The Professional, La Femme Nikita, The Big Blue and Subway and who brings, says Lee, "originality and a cool hipness to the look of the various characters. " Veteran production designer Douglas Higgins, whose numerous credits include They, Devil Wore a Skirt, Bones and Needful Things, and who served as art director on such films as Dog Day Afternoon and Serpico, has been racing against the clock to prepare the film's numerous locations.

"How he pulled things together with almost no time for preparation," says Lee, "has been amazing to watch and a joy to experience in dailies. " Having worked with many directors during his tenure as a studio production executive, Chris Lee says, "They all have different styles and different ways of approaching things. I don't recall anyone being as detail-oriented as Kaos in his approach to filmmaking or as scrupulous about what needs to be done in a certain amount of time. It's not just having a shot list - it's knowing the position of every camera and three-dimensional model and simultaneously keeping track of every aspect of production. His motto is 'have a plan and stick to it. ' This is his second movie and his first Hollywood project and I am certain it's going to be the first of a long and successful career. " "Even though I am very much a filmmaker, I am a moviegoer first and a moviemaker second," Kaos attests.
While active production cuts into the number of films he is able to see, he still averages two movies a week while filming. The director's approach to filmmaking is one of inclusion and camaraderie. There is a warm, congenial atmosphere on the set. "We have the luxury of having a really great cast and that makes things easy," he says. "I couldn't ask for a better team. If we have fun making the movie, that goes a long way toward helping the audience appreciate it. "
