In addition to her work as Maria, the spirited teacher in Sidewalks of New York, Rosario Dawson also appears next year opposite Eddie Murphy in the futuristic comedy Pluto Nash, directed by Ron Underwood; and the female lead opposite Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in Men In Black 2. She recently finished filming The First $20 Million Is Always The Hardest, opposite Adam Garcia and Nine Scenes About Love written and directed by theater director Peter Mattei. She most recently appeared in Josie and the Pussycats, co-starring Rachael Leigh Cook and Tara Reid.

Born and raised in New York City, Rosario Dawson made her film debut in Larry Clark's highly acclaimed and controversial Kids, and went onto play roles in Spike Lee's He Got Game, where she appeared opposite Denzel Washington and Milla Jovovich, in Light it Up with Forrest Whittaker and Vanessa L. Williams and in Down to You with Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Julia Stiles.

Rosario Dawson co-stars with Edward Burns in his new film Ash Wednesday currently in post-production.


Dennis Farina
Carpo

Dennis Farina, who plays the role of Carpo, the man who is absolutely certain he understands women, in Sidewalks of New York previously co-starred with Edward Burns in Steven Spieberg's Saving Private Ryan. He currently is in production filming Uncle with Megan Mullally and Tom Green. He recently co-starred with Brad Pitt and Benicio del Toro in Guy Ritchie's comic crime drama Snatch. He also stars with Tim Allen, Rene Russo and Stanley Tucci in Barry Sonnenfeld's suspense comedy Big Trouble.

Farina's other screen credits include Steven Soderburgh's Out of Sight, Barry Sonnenfeld's Get Shorty, Carl Reiner's That Old Feeling, Martin Brest's Midnight Run, and two of Michael Mann's films, Manhunter and Thief. Farina is a veteran of Chicago Theater, appearing in productions directed by Joseph Mantegna, John Malkovich and Gary Sinise.

Heather Graham
Annie

Appearing as beautiful, conflicted Annie in Sidewalks of New York, Heather Graham continues to earn her reputation as one of the most promising young actresses in Hollywood. In addition to Sidewalks, Graham will be seen this coming year in three other, quite diverse film roles - in Killing Me Softly with Joseph Fiennes; From Hell, the Jack The Ripper story from Albert and Allen Hughes, opposite Johnny Depp and in The Guru opposite Marisa Tomei.

Graham starred in the Farrelly Brothers' produced comedy Say It Isn't So, opposite Chris Klein and in the comedy/drama Committed, directed by Lisa Krueger, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and as the groovy Felicity Shagwell opposite Mike Myers in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. She starred with Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy in Martin's comedy Bowfinger.

Graham's other film credits include Two Guys and A Girl, with Robert Downey, Jr. as "RollerGirl" in Paul Thomas Anderson's Boogie Nights; Lost in Space with Gary Oldman and William Hurt, Gus Van Zant's Drugstore Cowboy and Six Degrees of Separation. On television, she appeared in David Lynch's Twin Peaks and opposite Jessica Lange in the television movie O'Pioneers.

David Krumholtz
Ben

David Krumholtz plays moonstruck musician/doorman Ben in Sidewalks of New York and will also soon appear in lead roles in You Stupid Man, directed by Brian Burns (Edward Burns' brother) and in the film Cheaters. He most recently appeared in The Mexican, opposite Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and James Gandolfini and will next be seen in How to Kill Your Neighbor's Dog, starring Kenneth Branagh and Robin Wright Penn, executive produced by Robert Redford.

Krumholtz's other credits include Barry Levinson's Liberty Heights, 10 Things I Hate About You, opposite Julia Stiles, Slums of Beverly Hills, opposite Natasha Lyonne, Ang Lee's The Ice Storm, The Santa Clause with Tim Allen and Addams Family Values. His television work includes guest appearances on "Law and Order" and "ER. "

He is currently filming the comedy Scorched with Woody Harrelson, Rachael Leigh Cook, John Cleese, Alicia Silverstone, Ivan Sergei and Paulo Costanzo.

Brittany Murphy

As Ashley, the Iowa girl in the big city, Brittany Murphy plays the part of a young woman just figuring out how to ask for what she wants. She will next be seen in Penny Marshall's Riding in Cars With Boys opposite Drew Barrymore, Don't Say a Word opposite Michael Douglas and Summer Catch with Freddie Prinze Jr. She is currently shooting the ensemble film Spun directed by Jonas Akerlund.

Murphy recently starred alongside Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie in Girl, Interrupted and in Alan Rudolph's Trixie opposite Emily Watson. She gained national attention for her breakthrough role as "Tai" in Clueless.

On television, her voice can be heard each week on the animated comedy King of the Hill. She starred opposite Lukas Haas and Sidney Poitier in David and Lisa and opposite Kirsten Dunst in Devil's Arithmetic.

Murphy appeared on Broadway in Arthur Miller's Tony award-winning A View From The Bridge.

Stanley Tucci

Stanley Tucci portrays petulant and prideful dentist Griffin, bringing
some of the menace to the part that he so memorably evoked as villain " Richard Cross" in the landmark TV series Murder One. He has recently completed filming The Road to Perdition , directed by Sam Mendes, starring alongside Paul Newman, Tom Hanks and Jude Law. In July he stars as part of an ensemble cast that includes John Cusak, Julia Roberts, Billy Crystal and Catherine Zeta-Jones in America's Sweethearts. He starred in the role of Adolph Eichmann opposite Kenneth Branagh in the HBO drama Conspiracy. This fall he'll appear in Barry Sonnenfeld's Big Trouble and in The Whole Shebang with Bridget Fonda.

Director of the acclaimed feature films Joe Gould's Secret, The Imposters and Big Night which he also wrote and co-directed with Campbell Scott, Tucci won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the Sundance Film Festival, an Independent Spirit Award, the Critics Prize at Deauville and honors from the New York Film Critics.

Michael Leydon Campbell plays two characters in Sidewalks of New York: Gio, the East Village band mate expert on the ways of the world and Harry, the yuppie facing forty who dreams of escape to a cabin in the woods. Edward Burns made the choice to cast Campbell twice to show his versatility as an actor. Campbell's previous feature film work includes Peter Cohn's Drunks, and the 1998 comedy Paulie. He just completed another Ed Burns feature, Ash Wednesday. His stage work includes the lead in Joe Fearless at the Atlantic Theatre in New York and the lead in Bob Funk in Los Angeles, for which he received an Ovation nomination.

Nadia Dajani
Hilary

Nadia Dajani plays brittle, long-suffering Hilary -- a woman constantly on the edge of wise cracking.

She next stars in the upcoming feature Happy Accidents with Vincent D'Onofrio and Marisa Tomei. Previous film credits include Dinner and Driving, Breathing Room and Flirting with Disaster.
Dajani has achieved great success in television. She plays the First Lady's Chief of Staff on "The West Wing" and has been a series regular on "The Secret Lives of Men," Starring Peter Gallagher and "Ned and Stacy," opposite Debra Messing.

She has appeared in several stage production in New York City, including "La Ronde," "Hysterical Blindness" and "Androscoggin Fuge," all for Naked Angels Theatre Company, and "A Joke" and "Hesh" for the Malaparte Theatre Company, of which she was one of the founding members with artistic director Ethan Hawke.

Callie Thorne

Callie Thorne appears as Sue, the woman who turns Tommy out in the opening of the film. After three seasons on the television series Homicide, she has appeared in the feature films Double Parked, Whipped and Next Stop Wonderland.

Well-known for her work as Janice in the series "The Sopranos," she's been seen in a wide range of feature films, including Stanley Tucci's Joe Gould's Secret, Ron Shelton's Play It to The Bone, Mickey Blue Eyes, Deep Blue Sea and Woody Allen's Celebrity.
