Wilderness DVD

"Bloody as hell, restores your faith in British horror.” Film Review

“…decapitation…severed limbs…ravaged corpses, it won’t disappoint. Grim, bloody and relentless.”
Screen International

Wilderness DVDA superb example of the new wave of British Horror Cinema, WILDERNESS is also a cut above the rest with its relentless, brutal and unforgiving take on the genre. Emanating from the acclaimed director Michael J Bassett (Deathwatch), WILDERNESS is set for a 9 October 2006 rental and 23 October 2006 retail release.

WILDERNESS has something for every fan of horror including dismemberment, beheadings, torture, being eaten alive, maulings and knife fights. Expertly executed gore effects make for extreme graphic realism ensuring the viewer is totally immersed in this masterfully choreographed survival thriller.

The film stars a predominantly young cast who turn in hugely impressive performances, including Toby Kebbell (Match Point, Dead Man’s Shoes), Adam Deacon (Kidulthood) and Alex Reid (The Descent). They are joined to thrilling effect by seasoned pro Sean Pertwee (Dog Soldiers, Equilibrium).

So if you feel you’re strong enough to venture out into the wilderness, just be prepared. You’ll be shocked and horrified, but strangely satisfied. Remember, it’s not about revenge, it’s about punishment.

Synopsis

When a group of young offenders are sent away to a military boot camp on a remote and supposedly uninhabited island, they are taught a lesson they will never forget.

On the island, a stark raving-mad psychopath lies in wait. Trained and equipped like an experienced hunter, the killer annihilates his victims using deadly booby traps and ravenous dogs. In the wilderness, the only thing that really matters is survival.
