The Wayans Brothers are no strangers to satire. They are the creators of television's "In Living Color," and the feature film farces, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (1998) and don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood (1996)

Says Keenen Ivory Wayans, "The idea for SCARY MOVIE 2 began when I realized that many supernatural films are filled with the same hilarious moments we've come to expect - pop culture moments begging to be parodied. "

"What was fun about making this movie was the chance to go back and watch my favorite movies from growing up that have influenced my life. It also gave me the chance to spoof recent thrillers, too!"

"You need to take on a genre that includes hundreds of films. SCARY MOVIE took on slasher movies. This one takes on the conventions and cliches of supernatural films," says co -writer and star Marlon Wayans.

Co -writer and star Shawn Wayans adds, "Our primary goal is for the audience to have as much fun watching as we do making these movies. We have discovered that with all recent and past pop culture, the material for spoofing is endless! "

SCARY MOVIE 2 brings back four SCARY MOVIE veterans and introduces a new team of amusing new characters.

Director Wayans notes, " It is really an exciting group of people. Everybody is perfect for the part they play and each of them has worked very hard. I had all of them do homework assignments on their characters. They really did it and it shows. "

Marlon Wayans reprises his role as the herbally enhanced Shorty, and Shawn Wayans returns as sexually confused Ray. Anna Faris leads the pack as the Cindy Campbell and Regina Hall plays the psychically possessed Brenda.

Joining the survivors of the first film and rounding out the cast is hot comic, David Cross, making his debut as Dwight, a can-do sidekick to the Professor, who is instrumental in recruiting the experiment.

Adding to the hysterics, veteran comedian Chris Elliott makes his SCARY MOVIE 2 debut as Hanson, the handyman with a unique "hand" in hospitality,who holds the key to the series of events in SCARY MOVIE 2.

Kathleen Robertson plays mod and sexy coed, Theo, whose assets are literally put to good use. Tori Spelling leaves her mark as an obsessed, "fatally attracted" stalker. Rounding out the cast is Chris Masterson, as the romantically clueless Buddy, and Richard Moll as a supernatural spirit.

SCARY MOVIE producer Eric L. Gold, and co-executive producers Lee R. Mayes and Lisa Suzanne Blum team up again with Shawn and Marlon Wayans, who not only wrote and star in SCARY MOVIE 2, but will add the title of co-executive producer to their credits.

This time they are joined by co-executive producers Rick Alvarez and Tony Mark, who are new to the SCARY MOVIE franchise
