Easy A : Movie Review

Easy A not only makes the grade, but it comes in close to 100%.

It also shows girls can be as funny as boys, something most of us know but Hollywood hasn't often put to the test.

The film is full of sharp wit that stops short of snark. And like any good movie, it transcends its genre.

One of the big reasons it fires on all cylinders is its sassy titian-haired star, Emma Stone. Stone is easily one of the most winning actresses of her generation and a natural comedian. Up to now, she's had supporting parts in such comedies as Superbad and The House Bunny. With her first starring role, she proves she can carry a movie and render screenwriter Bert V. Royal's dialogue thoroughly believable.
