Foster DVD

Multi award-winning actress Toni Collette (‘Little Miss Sunshine’; ‘Sixth Sense’) stars alongside Ioan Gruffudd (‘Horrible Bosses’; ‘Fantastic Four’) in the feel-good modern day fairy-tale ‘Foster’ which is released on retail DVD by High Fliers on November 5th.

Co-starring Richard E Grant (‘Wah Wah; ‘Love Hurts’) and Oscar winner Hayley Mills (‘Wild At Heart’; ‘The Trouble With Angela’), the movie is expected to be one of the best selling DVDs this Christmas with its enchanting family theme.

Zooey and Alec Morrison, played by Toni Collette and Ioan Gruffudd, are eagerly awaiting confirmation that they can foster a child when to their surprise a boy named Eli, played by the wonderful and witty child actor Maurice Cole, suddenly appears on their doorstep saying he’s been sent by the adoption agency.

Foster DVDHowever, Eli is no ordinary seven-year-old. There seems to be something magical about the little boy who has a maturity way beyond his age as it becomes apparent that he’s listening in to the breakdown of his foster parents’ marriage.

Not prepared to just be a neutral onlooker, Eli offers moral support and sensible suggestions on how they might be able to repair their relationship and re-kindle their feelings for each other.

Admired and adored by his foster mum and dad, he helps the couple to rebuild their foundations emotionally at home and at work until they re-discover their lost love.

Zooey had been told by her doctor that she can’t have any more biological children which is why she and her husband adopted but miraculously she discovers she has conceived and against all the odds a baby is on its way!

Thrilled but also sensitive to how Eli will take the news Zooey goes to tell her foster son but he has another miracle up his sleeve … he has mysteriously disappeared, leaving only a letter on his bed!

‘Foster’ was shot on location in and around London and bonus features include behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the cast and director.

Run time is 90 minutes, certificate is ‘PG ’ and the RRP is £12.99.
