War Of The Buttons (1994) - Details

The War of The Buttons is filmed in Ireland, and is about boys in two neighbouring villages fighting amongst themselves. They meet after school and fight, until one boy is captured then they take all the buttons from that particular boy. In this case we have the Ballys, lead by Fergus, and the Carricks lead by Geronimo. After months of endless fighting it all comes down to one last battle. The winner takes all. As the battle is won, new events unfold. All boys, from both villages,discover they have a new problem, their parents. This movie is all about growing up, and is told through a child's eyes.
