Slap Her, She's French (2001) - Synopsis
Set in a small Texas town, Slap Her, She's French centers on a French foreign exchange student played by Piper Perabo. Her arrival upsets the social balance at the local high school when she became the most popular girl. Jane McGregor, Cristen Coppen, and Michael Weston also star in the film. The teen comedy is directed by Melanie Mayron (The Baby-Sitters Club), who is best known as one of the stars on the television show thirtysomething. Evan Dunsky (The Alarmist), the film's original director, dropped out after only one week of filming. Lamar Damon and Robert Lee King make their writing debut with the screenplay, with revisions by Alan Ball (American Beauty).
