The story of chorus girl Roxie Hart (Renée Zellweger) who works in Chicago in the 1920's. She shoots her cheating lover and ends up in jail where she meets Velma Kelly (Catherine Zeta-Jones). Attorney, Billy Flynn, (Richard Gere) helps the two women murderesses in their pursuit for fame and freedom.
