Bam Bam and Celeste is the first fiction screenplay written by Margaret Cho, best known for her stand-up comedy concert films, I’m the One that I Want, Notorious C.H.O., and Revolution. Bam Bam and Celeste stars Margaret and Bruce Daniels (Margaret’s friend and opening act for whom she wrote the part of Bam Bam), and is directed by Lorene Machado, Margaret’s longtime creative collaborator on the concert films. Additional cast includes Alan Cumming, John Cho, Kathy Najimy, and Danny Hoch.

Production wraps just in time for the launch of Margaret’s Assassin Tour on March 4th. The Tour visits 26 cities through June with stops in Los Angeles at The Wiltern Theater on April 8th and 9th and NYC's Beacon Theatre on May 20th and 21st. Tour dates and ticket information are available on www.margaretcho.com.

In Bam Bam and Celeste, Celeste (Margaret Cho) and Bam Bam (Bruce Daniels) escape their Midwest hometown on an epic road trip to New York City. There they take on their high-school nemeses – now the dictators of the world-famous Salon Mirage – and discover that true beauty lies within. Along with Celeste, Margaret also plays Mommy, the impersonation of her own mother cherished by Margaret’s fans.

Bam Bam and Celeste is produced by Eva Kolodner and Yael Melamede for Salty Features and Margaret’s production company, Cho Taussig Productions. Co-Exec Producers are Liz Manne and Catherine Tait for Duopoly.
