Halle Berry is set to star in a remake of the classic courtroom drama Jagged Edge. Sony is in the early stages of developing the remake, so much so that they don't even have a writer attached at this time, but they're putting the creative team together, which already includes an Oscar-winning actress. Doug Belgrad and Matti Leshem, who worked on the successful shark movie The Shallows, are producing this remake for the studio.

The original 1985 thriller “Jagged Edge” starred Glenn Close and Jeff Bridges and involved Bridges’ publisher character being accused of murdering his heiress wife. Close portrayed the lawyer for Bridges character and Robert Loggia was nominated for an Oscar for his role as a private detective.
