Bryan Singer reportedly dropped from Red Sonja movie.

"X-Men" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" director Bryan Singer is no longer attached to helm the "Red Sonja" film currently in development at Millennium Films.

The project, an adaptation of Robert E. Howard's sword-wielding comic heroine, seemingly stalled last month but Singer had not been formally removed from the project at the time, despite multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.

Singer - who was fired from his last movie Bohemian Rhapsody due to various on set issues - was set to pocket a bumper $10 million payday to bring the fierce female warrior back to the big screen. His involvement proved to be hugely controversial, and Lerner caused further outcry by initially brushing aside the latest allegations as "agenda driven fake news".

It's unclear if the project will move forward with a new director involved. Ashley Edward Miller ("X-Men: First Class", "Thor") penned the script with the project originally planning to shoot in Bulgaria later this year.
