Amazon in negotiations to acquire Michael B. Jordan's Without Remorse.

Amazon Studios is in final negotiations to buy worldwide rights to "Without Remorse" from Paramount Pictures.

The feature stars Michael B. Jordan as beloved Clancy character John Clark, a former Navy Seal and director of the elite counterterrorism unit Rainbow Six.

If a deal closes, the film marks the second Clancy property to find a home at Amazon, with the John Krasinski TV series, Jack Ryan, featured on Amazon Prime. This would also mark the third film Paramount has had to offload since the Covid-19 pandemic shut down the industry, with the studio sending The Lovebirds and The Trial of the Chicago Seven to Netflix.

The film was directed by Stefano Sollima (“Sicario: Day of the Soldado”). Akiva Goldsman produced the film and also wrote the screenplay. Jordan also produced with Josh Appelbaum, Corin Nemec, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger.

For Amazon, it’s the second film they have acquired from a studio due to the pandemic, also landing rights to the Dave Bautista action-comedy My Spy (2019) as well.
