MEG RYAN has been taking advice from veteran ex-wives DEBBIE REYNOLDS and ELIZABETH TAYLOR on how to cope with media pressure following her marriage split.
The WHEN HARRY MET SALLY star, who is currently divorcing her husband of nine years DENNIS QUAID after a summer fling with RUSSELL CROWE, admits the press focus on her is intense and she's glad of good advice. Ryan turned to her pal CARRIE FISHER when news started spreading about the romance between herself and Crowe, and the STAR WARS star took her to see her mum, Reynolds, and Taylor on the set of TV movie THESE OLD BROADS.
Fisher says, "I've been around scandals and Meg confided in me. "I thought taking her to the set was a good idea because those two women have both been through their share of public romantic scandals. I thought they'd have some wisdom for her. They did." (KL/W/JM)
