ABC's Nightline plans to air a three-part series on rap music beginning next Wednesday in an effort to examine "a culture that has remained somewhat under the radar," according to Robert Krulwich, the correspondent on the series.

Krulwich told today's (Wednesday) New York Times: "You hear the noise of it. You smell the violence of it, and that's pretty much all you notice -- other than the fact that kids are spending long, long periods of time in their rooms listening to it."
