X FILES actor DAVID DUCHOVNY celebrated the end of his daughter MADELAINE's illness by going out and getting her name tattooed on his ankle.

Duchovny and wife TEA LEONI's daughter Madelaine is fifteen months old and gave her parents the scare of their life when a virus turned into pneumonia and she nearly died. But terror turned to joy on hearing little Madelaine was well and happy, and Duchovny decided he should mark that day on himself forever.

Leoni says, "Right after her spinal tap was clear and everyone breathed a sigh of relief, David went around the corner from the hospital and put a tattoo of her name on his ankle. "He was so altered by this experience he had to go out an physically mark it." (SVD/ML/JM)
