SARAH FERGUSON, the Duchess of York, has taken a shine to heart- throb Irish actor GABRIEL BYRNE. She admits to being smitten by the dark, broody looks of the 50- year-old STIGMATA actor.

She says, "He's delicious. With his dark hair and dark eyes he looks like a gypsy, which I find very sexy." Byrne, currently starring in the American sitcom MADIGAN MEN, has been spotted recently in New York with a mystery blonde date.

The Dubliner moved to the city in order to be close to the two young children he has by his former wife, actress ELLEN BARKIN.
