Mark Ruffalo is in talks to star in Amazon MGM Studios adaptation of Don Winslow's novella "Crime 101". He will co-star with Chris Hemsworth, who also is in talks to star and produce alongside producing partner Ben Grayson.

Ruffalo and Hemsworth will co-star in Crime 101, which will be released in theaters next year by Amazon MGM. The two Marvel Cinematic Universe veterans previously shared the screen in all four Avengers movies, as well as the 2017 film, Thor: Ragnarok. This means that Crime 101 would mark the first non-MCU project they have starred in together.

Based on author Don Winslow’s novella of the same name, the novella tells the story of a string of high-level jewel heists up and down the Pacific Coast Highway that has gone unsolved for years, mostly because the perpetrator has lived by a strict code he calls "Crime 101". Police attribute the thefts to the Colombian cartels. But Detective Lou Lubesnick’s gut says it’s the work of just one man.

Having just received his fourth Oscar nomination for his remarkable performance in Searchlight’s Poor Things, Ruffalo has already had a fantastic start to the year. He’s presently filming Task, a limited series on HBO that Brad Ingelsby, the creator of Mare Of East Town, wrote. His subsequent roles will be in Cooper Raif’s sitcom Hal & Harper and in Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17, which stars Robert Pattinson.
