The Oscar winner Charlize Theron is set to join the cast of Christopher Nolan's next film at Universal.
Theron is not the only alum to have a role in the Nolan film. Spider-Man franchise co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya have also been cast for roles in the movie, as has Black Panther's Lupita Nyong'o. Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Robert Pattinson are also reportedly attached to the project.
The studio and Nolan’s follow-up to their Oscar-winning drama "Oppenheimer" is projecting a production start date sometime in the first half of 2025. Universal has set a July 17, 2026 theatrical release date for the feature, along with a dedicated rollout in Imax auditoriums.
Theron is a legend in the world of Hollywood, having risen to superstardom in the 1990s. Throughout her career, she’s starred in several high-profile projects, including The Italian Job, The Devil’s Advocate, Monster, Atomic Blonde, Mad Max: Fury Road, and more. Next up for her will be The Old Guard 2, a sequel to the 2020 action movie that she also starred in.
