Steve Buscemi joins Sam Rockwell in the cast of Martin McDonagh's upcoming movie Wild Horse Nine.
It is the filmmaker’s first feature since his acclaimed The Banshees of Inisherin.
Sam Rockwell, who starred in McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, as well as John Malkovich and Parker Posey are already in the saddle for the dark comedic drama that begins shooting later this month in Rapa Nui, also known as Easter Island.
The project will be filmed on Easter Island, which is a very rare setting to film a mainstream American film, as it is one of the most remote and inhabited locations on Earth.
Buscemi, a former New York City firefighter, has had an impressive acting career with memorable roles in “Ghost World,” “Reservoir Dogs,” “Fargo,” “The Big Lebowski,” “Desperado,” the satirical Soviet Union film “The Death of Stalin,” and the fantastic HBO gangster series “Boardwalk Empire.” He most recently joined the cast of Netflix/Tim Burton’s “Addams Family” series revival “Wednesday” which features Jenna Ortega as the titular protagonist.
