Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are getting back together for a romantic thriller in development at Amazon MGM Studios.

Plot details are still under wraps for now. However, the script is in safe hands with Noah Oppenheim, who wrote the 2016 historical drama Jackie and recently co-created Netflix's political thriller Zero Day, starring Robert De Niro as former U.S. president George Mullen.

Keanu and Sandra starred in the first Speed movie in 1994 and then reunited for the sequel in 1997. They teamed up again for the 2006 drama The Lake House.

One of the road bumps to getting Speed 3 underway is believed to be scheduling, considering Reeves and Bullock are both in-demand actors that have multiple projects on the go at any one time. As of right now, Reeves is actively involved in John Wick 5, BRZRKR, and Constantine 2, among others, while Bullock is set to reprise her beloved role as Sally Owens in Practical Magic 2.
