Oscar winner Mikey Madison has signed on to star alongside Academy Award nominee Kirsten Dunst in Reptilia, a psychological thriller directed by Alejandro Landes Echavarría.

The film marks a new direction for both actresses and is set to explore the strange and shadowy world of Florida’s exotic animal trade.

For Madison, this role follows a career-defining moment at the 97th Academy Awards, where she won the Oscar for Best Actress for her bold and provocative performance in Anora. Her portrayal of a Brooklyn stripper who becomes entangled with the son of a Russian oligarch captivated audiences and critics alike. The unexpected win came as a surprise to many, with industry buzz previously favoring veteran actress Demi Moore for her performance in The Substance.

Dunst was last seen starring in Civil War, Alex Garland’s dystopian action thriller. She played Lee Smith, a renowned war photojournalist.

She will next be seen in Derek Cianfrance’s Roofman opposite Channing Tatum. Based on a true story, the film stars Tatum as a former Army Ranger and struggling father who starts robbing McDonald’s restaurants by cutting holes in their roofs, which earns him the nickname "Roofman". After escaping from prison, he begins a new life while hiding in a toy store and falls in love with a single mother (Dunst) and her two daughters.
