Plans for Madonna to headline the Super Bowl XXXV halftime show have fallen apart, the online edition of TV Guide reported Monday.

The magazine quoted an unnamed insider as saying, "I don't know who did what to anger her, but she is out." The show is being produced by MTV, a corporate sibling of CBS, which is broadcasting the January 28 game.
