Viewers Still Flocking To News Programs

Despite polls indicating that the American public is becoming increasingly annoyed with the legal maneuvering over the Florida vote count, network nightly newscasts and cable news channels are continuing to draw huge audiences.

The biggest benificiary, apparently, is Fox News Channel, which on Monday drew an audience almost twice the size of CNN's -- 1,197,000 homes vs. 1,063,000 homes. MSNBC was third with 750,000 homes. It was not clear why Fox had pulled away from its competitors on Monday. CNN had previously been holding a strong lead.
