Warner Bros. said Wednesday that it plans to re-release The Perfect Storm in two theaters equipped with digital projection this week. The studio also announced that director Wolfgang Petersen will participate in discussions of the film in New York at the AMC Empire 25 theater tonight (Thursday) and in Burbank at the AMC Media Center on Friday. In a statement, Warner's distribution chief Dan Fellman said, "The Perfect Storm is an ideal film to showcase digitally and we are ... thrilled that technological advances enable us to show it to audiences in this spectacular new format."
