Work is beginning in Hollywood on a sequel to THE FIRST WIVES CLUB. Negotiations have begun with BETTE MIDLER, GOLDIE HAWN and DIANE KEATON about the possibility of them reprising their roles from the original film.

A script is currently being worked on by IN AND OUT writer PAUL RUDNICK and it's hoped the film will begin shooting in March (01).

Sources say the three actresses are keen to reprise their roles but each one is expecting to receive a substantial increase in fees.
