Material Skirl For Madonna

Bride-to-be MADONNA has decided to ditch the traditional Wedding March in favour of a Scottish folk tune - played by a lone piper.

She has picked HIGHLAND CATHEDRAL - a slow air on the bagpipes often played at the Edinburgh Tattoo - to walk down the aisle to at Dornoch Cathedral. Madonna insisted on what she called "romantic music" when she discussed her wedding to GUY RITCHIE with Cathedral organist STUART ANDERSON. She opted for PUCCINI'S NESSUN DORMA - the theme for the 1990 World Cup - and BACH'S TOCCATA IN FUGUE, now one of the most popular mobile ring tones.

Stuart says, "I met Madonna on Tuesday, and she spent around 15 minutes with me listening to music. She requested Puccini and Bach which I found very surprising. She spent most of the time listening to me playing, and I later got a message back saying she was very impressed."

The couple are currently writing their own wedding vows which will be heard by minister REV SUSAN BROWN. (CB/WNSMI/NFA)
