Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham are set to re-team again for a sixth time with the action-thriller "Viva La Madness".

The film will be based on a novel of the same name by author J.J. Connolly. The novel is a direct sequel to his earlier book "Layer Cake" which became the well-regarded 2004 Daniel Craig-led and Matthew Vaughn-directed crime drama of the same name.

The plot of the movie is still unknown, but its source material, a novel of the same name, follows the story of a mysterious drug dealer in London who goes by the name X. The crime-filled book was published in 2011 and is the sequel to Connolly's novel Layer Cake, which was published in 2000.

Statham and Thomas Benski will produce the film, which begins shooting in January. Statham is currently the only cast member attached, and Ritchie set as writer and director.

The pair previously worked on "Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels", "Snatch", "Revolver", "Wrath of Man" and "Operation Fortune".
