Samara Weaving and Nicholas Braun are set to lead Hivemind, an environmental thriller from Thunder Road and Badlands that is now filming in Dublin.

The film centers on the evolution of a new breed of killer wasps and the small-town authorities who team up to prevent a deadly global outbreak.

Weaving was just announced as Emma Frost for Marvel’s upcoming X-Men movie, so it’s great to see her still taking on roles in the horror genre. From The Babysitter to the Ready or Not franchise and even a brief appearance in Scream VI, she’s become a fan favorite over the years.

Irish filmmaker Ciarán Foy is helming Hivemind, with a script written by Peter Gaffney (Yeti, Don't Go in the Water), which is currently shooting in Dublin. The environmental thriller is from Thunder Road and Badlands, and Amazon MGM Studios has also joined the project and will release the movie internationally on Prime Video.
