Not So Wonderful Ratings

It may be a sentimental holiday tradition, but NBC's telecast of the 1946 Frank Capra film It's a Wonderful Life, starring Jimmy Stewart earned the lowest ratings of any program aired by the four major networks Saturday night. The show pulled only a 5.1/9. CBS led the night with an average 6.8/12, while Fox and ABC tied for second with a 6.1/11. The highest-rated show of the night was CBS's The District, which drew an 8.8/15.
