Other NJ Counties Open Their Arms For Sopranos

Rebuffed by officials of Essex County, NJ, HBO's The Sopranos is now being wooed by three other New Jersey counties to film location scenes there, published reports said today (Thursday).

Union County, where The Sopranos often filmed during 1999, Bergen County and Monmouth County have each put out word that the production crew would be welcome. Earlier this week, Essex County officials refused to grant a filming permit to the Sopranos' producers, claiming that the TV show cast Italian-Americans in an unfavorable light.
