Former Starsky and Hutch star David Soul, who headed for England in 1995 hoping to reignite his career by performing on the London stage, will be returning to television next spring in the BBC hospital drama Holby City, published reports in Britain said Wednesday.

Soul was reportedly spotted during a stage performance by the BBC's head of drama, Mal Young. He will appear as a temporary substitute for a surgeon, one of the show's main characters.
