Uk Watchdog Snarls At Porno "Reviews"

Britain's television watchdog, the Broadcasting Standards Commission, has rapped commercial Channel 5 for airing a series that reviews movies.

In a report released today (Thursday), the BSC said, "The series was effectively promoting products that cannot be advertised on television and went beyond acceptable boundaries for a free-to-air terrestrial service."

The commission went on to accuse Channel 5 of airing such programs in order to push the boundaries of acceptability. In response, a Channel 5 spokesman noted that while 1.3 million people watched the series, only six had complained. He also noted that the show aired late at night
