The second batch of Oscars nominees have been announced - with THE GRINCH set for a battle royal with a bunch of dinosaurs.
The ACADEMY OF MOTION PICTURE ARTS AND SCIENCES has unveiled the seven films under consideration for the Best Visual Effects Oscar.
They are: CAST AWAY, DINOSAUR, DR SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, GLADIATOR, HOLLOW MAN, THE PERFECT STORM and X-MEN.
A nominating committee will view clips from each film on 7 February(01), then nominate three of the seven films. Oscar nominations will be announced 13 February and the ceremony will take place 25 March. (KL/WNWC/KW)
