National Enquirer TV Show Overhauled

The syndicated daily tabloid show National Enquirer TV will have a new name, a new host, and a "sleek new on-air look" for the coming season, MGM Television, its producer and distributor, announced Tuesday. In a news release, Hank Cohen, president of MGM Television Entertainment, promised that the show would achieve "a whole new level of entertainment, setting it apart from anything else in the news magazine genre." The new show will be hosted by actor Jack Maxwell, whose credits include appearances on Beverly Hills 90210 and the daytime soap Sunset Beach. Maxwell replaces former co-hosts Mike Walker and Susan Campos.
