Michael Cuccione, who played the youngest member of a boy band on the MTV show 2gether, died Saturday in Vancouver, BC eight days after his sixteenth birthday.

News reports attributed the cause of death to respiratory failure, a probable result of chemotherapy treatment that had damaged the young actor's lungs when he was a child. He had undergone five months of treatment for Hodgkin's disease. The Associated Press reported on Tuesday that Cuccione had been forced to carry a portable oxygen machine with him during recent tapings of 2gether.
