GLADIATOR star RUSSELL CROWE is wasting no time in getting on with his love life after a reported split from MEG RYAN.

Friends claim the couple's seven-month romance is over, and Crowe has moved on with LA FEMME NIKITA star PETA WILSON after she attended a New Year party (31DEC00) at the actor's Australian ranch.

Crowe, who has also been linked to a reconciliation with old flame DANIELLE SPENCER, is reportedly still angry Ryan didn't join him at New Year. One pal says, "Russell's still extremely fond of Meg and doesn't want to hurt her but they're from different worlds. "Peta loves sleeping under the stars in the outback as much as he does."
