WHITNEY HOUSTON and BOBBY BROWN's good behaviour hasn't lasted very long - they were thrown out of a party hosted by basketball star MAGIC JOHNSON's wife.

The singing duo, who swore just weeks ago that they'd mended their wild ways, became so obnoxious at a star-studded birthday bash for the basketball star's wife that he screamed at them to leave.

Magic threw the party for his partner COOKIE at Los Angeles' HOUSE OF BLUES and celebrities such as HALLE BERRY, ANGELA BASSETT, VIVICA A FOX and MARLA MAPLES were dancing when Brown suddenly jumped on stage and started singing. He was off key and slurring his words badly and the dance floor emptied. Whitney shouted at him to stop embarrassing her. An insider says, "Bobby finally realised he was bombing and leaped off stage. Whitney stormed outside still screaming. "Magic, in fury, caught up and told them to split immediately or he'd throw them out. Magic told pals he'd never invite them to anything again." (SVD/NE)
