Final National Nielsens Boost Super Bowl's Results

Final national Nielsens released late Monday indicated that Sunday's Super Bowl game scored a 40.3 rating and a 60 share, up a tick from the overnights. The game thereby ties with the 1992 Washington-Buffalo contest as the third-lowest-rated Super Bowl game since 1990. It scored its highest numbers in Tampa, where it was played (51.2/67), while in Baltimore it pulled a 49.1/71. However, in New York, it managed only a 40.9/56.
