Without "Dream Team," Simpson Loses In Court Again

O.J. Simpson Wednesday lost a legal bid to prevent a miniseries about his sensational murder trial from being broadcast. Simpson had claimed that the film, based on Lawrence Schiller's book American Tragedy, would reveal privileged client-attorney information. Simpson is suing Schiller and lawyer Robert Kardashian, an attorney and former friend of Simpson's who provided some of the behind-the-scenes information about the strategy of Simpson's so-called "Dream Team" of lawyers. In his ruling, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Yaffe noted that Simpson had made no effort to stop publication of Schiller's book, released in 1996, and that he would now have to wait until after the film is broadcast in order to sue for damages.
