Keanu's Tough Training

KEANU REEVES is hardly having an easy time of it on the set of the next MATRIX movie, putting in hours of gruelling kung-fu training each day.

To prepare for their highly physical roles in the next two sequels to The Matrix - being shot back-to-back - Reeves and his castmates including LAURENCE FISHBURNE, HUGO WEAVING, and CARRIE- ANNE MOSS have already started their martial arts training.

As he did for The Matrix - and the hit CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON - Hong Kong fight master YUEN WO-PING is staging the gravity-defying scenes. And Reeves says the regime is a tough one. He says, "I'm there Monday through Friday from 9.30am to 5pm. Basically, you come in in the morning and work with the Hong Kong action team, the fight choreographers. "You come in in the morning and you stretch for about an hour and a half. And then you kick, you go through a series of exercises that you do every day. "And then after that you go into specialized training. And then after that, generally, we do choreography, which is learning the fights, and then we do wire work." (MCM/WNWCE
