Five Births Don't Raise GMA's Ratings

Good Morning America's much publicized stunt to air a live birth on morning TV -- which paid off in spades when five live births were actually broadcast -- did little to help the show's ratings, according to preliminary ratings. GMA averaged a 3.9 rating, up just three-tenths of a point from its average. On the other hand, the Today show saw its ratings rise also -- to a 5.7, up four-tenths of a point.
