Australian Theaters Selling Advance Tickets For Hannibal

With the possibility looming that it could be rerated, thousands of older Australian teenagers lined up at box offices Wednesday night to buy tickets in advance for Hannibal.

The film is currently rated MA 15+, allowing anyone 15 years or older to see it unaccompanied by a parent or guardian. Outraged community groups are demanding that the film be rated MA 18+. Australian Attorney General Daryl Williams, has ordered an urgent review of the current rating by the official censorship board, but according to today's (Thursday) Sydney Daily Telegraph, the board has not yet decided when to reconvene.
