Nascar Vroooms In The Ratings

Fox, which signed an eight-year, $1.6-billion deal with NASCAR last year, saw ratings for Sunday's Daytona 500 rise to their highest level in 22 years. The 10.0 rating and 24 share was 19 percent above the numbers for last year (8.4/22), when the race was carried by CBS. It could not be immediately determined whether the ratings were boosted by replays of the crash that killed driver Dale Earnhardt.
