Curtains For Internet Movie Site

Z.com, the entertainment Web site that launched last year with content deals with producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Ellen DeGeneres, Chris Rock, Alanis Morissette, Bob Saget and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, announced Monday that it is shutting down.

In a notice posted on its Web site addressed to "friends, fans and fellow trailblazers," Z.com said Tuesday that "unfortunately we can longer (sic) provide you with the best entertainment on the Web." Its previous content had been removed. In a separate statement, the company blamed market conditions and its inability to come up with additional funding.
