Heart-throb Irish actor GABRIEL BYRNE and sexy CATHERINE ZETA-JONES are set to star in a new movie about SHERLOCK HOLMES.

THE USUAL SUSPECTS star Byrne is to play the fictional detective's trusty sidekick WATSON in the new movie, with Zeta- Jones playing the super sleuth's lover. ALAN RICKMAN is the favourite to play Holmes himself.

The film, BAKER STREET, is loosely based on the SIR ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE classic THE SIGN OF FOUR. It focuses on an affair between the detective and a married member of the British aristocracy. A source says, "Catherine wants to come back to the UK to do some work and this is the perfect opportunity for her." (RXT/INW/MCM)
