RON HOWARD can't wait to work with GLADIATOR hunk RUSSELL CROWE - because he's a 'real artist'.
Howard is directing Crowe in A BEAUTIFUL MIND, a film version of the biography of JOHN NASH, who won the NOBEL PRIZE in spite of suffering from paranoid-schizophrenia. Crowe plays Nash in the film and ED HARRIS is cast as an intelligence officer.
Howard says, "Russell's got a tremendous integrity about his work. He stretches himself constantly. "We've just begun collaborating on this, but my sense of Russell Crowe is there's a real artist there and I'm really looking forward to it." Howard describes the film as "a fascinating journey of a life". He adds, "It's a love story but a very adult kind of unsentimental love story. It's powerful, emotional, very intriguing and even suspenseful." (RP/WNWCAN/KW)
